Conditions of use: Woodlands Avenue Car Park, West Byfleet

Permits for Woodlands Avenue Car Park are only available for people whose place of work is in West Byfleet and are valid for use only within that car park.

A permit is provided for your use only and entitles you to use the car park at any time for the duration of the permit, but it does not guarantee a parking space will be available.

When parking, you must display your permit in the windscreen of your car so that it is clearly visible and readable. If you do not, you are required to purchase a Pay and Display ticket from a car park ticket machine, or pay by debit/credit card using the RingGo automated telephone payment system; no refund of any such charges incurred will be made. Failure to do either may result in the issue of a penalty charge notice.

In the event that you have temporary use of another car whilst yours is being serviced/repaired etc., transfer the permit to the temporary car - remembering to return it to your own car when you get it back.

Please note:

  • Parking is permitted in any bay except those marked for disabled drivers and any shown as restricted for particular persons or vehicles.
  • Your vehicle must be parked wholly within bay markings
  • You cannot park on any yellow line or hatchings or in any driving lane
  • Your vehicle must not be left so that it causes any obstruction
  • Failure to adhere to the conditions of use or car park regulations may make you liable to being issued with a penalty charge notice
  • The permit is not transferable and must not be used by any other person or in any other vehicle (other than mentioned above)
  • The Council reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withdraw a permit at any time, or immediately for any fraudulent use or misuse of the permit.
  • You can use this facility 24hrs a day for the duration of the permit unless it is revoked for any reason, it is no longer required, or your entitlement ceases
  • If the permit is lost or stolen, notify the Council in writing or by email (permits@woking.gov.uk) so that a replacement can be issued for which there will be a charge of £25. Lost or stolen permits must first be reported to the Police and a property or crime reference obtained.

Companies with multiple permits must maintain records and notify the Council of individual holders to whom the permits are to be issued and their vehicle details.

Any change in driver or vehicle details must be notified to the Council in writing or by email. A change of vehicle to one with a higher Co2 element putting it in to a higher charge band, will incur a further charge; if the Co2 figure is lower, resulting in a lower charge band, an appropriate refund will be given.

Refunds will be given pro-rata the cost of the permit for the number of complete months remaining, less a £25 administration fee, providing the permit is surrendered first.

Permits remain the property of Woking Borough Council and if for any reason they are not renewed, or are cancelled or withdrawn, they must be returned to the Council; otherwise a cost will be incurred. They are issued subject to the Council’s order(s) relating to car parks in force at the time and the Council reserves the right to vary such orders during the period of the subscription.

Cars are parked at the Owner’s/Driver’s risk and the Council accepts no liability for loss or damage to any vehicle or part thereof, nor will it accept liability for the death of or injury to any person(s) arising out of the use of the car park, save insofar as such death or injury is caused by the negligence of the Authority, its servants or agents.
