Do you know a sports club, team, volunteer or individual who deserves to be recognised for their achievement or involvement in sport during the past 12 months? If so, nominate your sporting stars for a Sport Woking Award!

The Sport Woking Awards offer a chance to celebrate and reward the outstanding performances of local sports clubs and athletes, as well as acknowledge the extraordinary array of coaches and volunteers who are the unsung heroes of sport.

There are 10 categories in this year's Sport Woking Awards.

Cllr Beryl Hunwicks, Portfolio Holder for Health and Wellbeing Development, said: "Our Borough has a great sporting heritage and the Sport Woking Awards offer a great way for local people to recognise and celebrate the fantastic achievements of our sporting community over the past year. So if you know an ambitious athlete, a talented team, an inspirational coach or a dedicated volunteer, then nominate them today to receive the recognition they deserve."

The Awards will take place on 21 September 2018 at the H.G. Well Conference and Events Centre, Woking. The winners of each category will then be shortlisted to represent Woking at the prestigious Surrey Sports Awards 2018 in December.
