Pool in the Park, operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Woking Borough Council, is looking forward to offering local children a summer of fun, as it adds exciting new water-play features to the Leisure Lagoon Beach area in time for the school holidays!

These fun new additions are part of Freedom Leisure's ongoing commitment to develop and improve the facilities for customers in partnership with the Woking Borough Council. To facilitate the installation of the new features, the Lagoon will be closed to the public from Monday 17 July with planned re-opening and launch a week later.

The fun new features, which are aimed at toddlers and younger children, combine brightly coloured, high and low level attractions designed to capture the imagination and help increase water confidence through fun play. Children will be able to explore the new interactive waterball, fill ‘n’ spill buckets, interactive water channels, water jets, shark shower, toddler slide and more from the start of summer.

Steve May, Freedom Leisure Area Manager, says: “We apologies for the disruption that the week-long closure of the Lagoon may course some users, but have kept it to a minimum and know that it will be worth it once the children get to enjoy these wonderful new water features. We wish to remind customers that the main pool will remain open and that pools at Guildford Spectrum and Guildford Lido are both open as normal.

“Enabling children to be active and to be confident and safe in water is hugely important, and both the Council and ourselves believe that these new and fun features will do both.”
