Works to create an entrance filter lane for the Hoe Valley School and community leisure facilities development along Egley Road will commence on Monday 9 January 2017.

To enable Egley Road to remain open to traffic whilst works are underway, temporary traffic controls will be in place to restrict traffic flow to one lane whilst initial works are carried out. After which two lanes will be in operation to minimise the impact on road users.

It is expected that works will take around eight months to complete. Throughout the works, the speed along Egley Road will be reduced to 30mph for the safety of the workforce.

The highway works will ensure the future safe access of pupils to the school and users of the leisure facilities once open.
