Home Improvement Loan scheme

Homeowners who are elderly, disabled or vulnerable can apply for a low cost loan to fund essential repairs, improvements or adaptations. Woking Borough Council is working in partnership with Parity Trust to help you. Parity Trust is a socially responsible, not for profit lending organisation. By working with Parity Trust, a low cost lending scheme, subsidised by the Council, is available for home repairs, maintenance or improvements.

Loans from 1,000 to 25,000 are available for people who could not otherwise afford the work. We can also provide support and guidance to see the work through from start to finish. We can help you find a reliable contractor, monitor the work, and once complete carry out an inspection to make sure that you are satisfied.

In order to qualify for a subsidised loan, the work must be considered essential, for example a leaking roof or electrical re-wiring to make your home safe. We will assess the work that you want to carry out and advise you whether it qualifies.

More information can be found in the Home Improvement Loan leaflet, by visiting the Parity Trust website, or by contacting Homelink on 01483 743668.

Important Information:

The loan will be secured against your property. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other debts secured against it. Parity Trust is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for it's mortgage activities (register number 504445).
