Registering to Vote

This section includes information about how you can register to vote. Rolling registration is now suspended, as the annual canvass is being carried out. The next update to the Electoral Register will be published on 1 December 2009.

Forthcoming Elections

The next scheduled Borough elections will be held on Thursday 6 May 2010. There will also be a General election before 3 June 2010.

Postal and Proxy Voting

If you are unable to get to a polling station to vote on the day of the election, you can apply to vote by post or appoint a proxy (someone to vote on your behalf).
