Registering to Vote

This section includes information about how you can register to vote. The annual canvass of the register of electors is being carried out, and a revised register will be published on 1 December 2011. Rolling registration has been suspended during this period.

The next Borough elections will be held on Thursday 3 May 2012.

Postal and Proxy Voting

If you are unable to get to a polling station to vote on the day of the election, you can apply to vote by post or appoint a proxy (someone to vote on your behalf).

Polling District and Polling Place Review 2011

The Council has now completed its review of polling districts and polling places. Further information is available to view.

A further review of the Brookwood polling district is being carried out, to be completed by 25 November 2011.

Review of Parliamentary Boundaries

The Boundary Commission for England is currently reviewing all Parliamentary constituencies. The proposals for the Woking County Constituency have now been published.
