General market

Woking Borough Council in partnership with Premier Events operates the above from Monday to Saturday (and on a Sunday leading up to Christmas) on the Market Square (by the Post Office).

Products include fruit and vegetables, meat, flowers, pet food, watch repairs, mobile phone accessories, key cutting, greetings cards, second hand furniture and books, bric-a-brac and there is even a cafe.

Farmers' Market

Bringing the countryside into the town, local farmers and producers will be displaying the range of local produce available at Woking's Farmers' Market to be held in Woking Town Square from 9am to 2.30pm. Farmers' Markets will be held every third Thursday of the month and also the fifth Saturday of the month.

The dates for the Farmers' Markets are:

Thursday 17 April, Thursday 15 May,  Saturday 31May, Thursday 19 June, Thursday 17July, Thursday 21 August, Saturday 30 August, Thursday 18 September, Thursday 16 October,  Saturday 29 November, Thursday 18 December

With over 25 stalls selling produce ranging from cheese, bread, sauces, pickles to meats and fruit juices, local residents will have the opportunity to buy fresh, locally produced goods direct from farmers and producers. All products sold at the Farmers' Market have been grown, reared, brewed, pickled, baked, smoked or processed by the stallholder and no artificial hormones or pesticides have been used. Farmers' Markets support the local economy and traditional, well established methods of food production as well as being a fun and vibrant place to shop for dinner.

French Market

will be held in Town Square on:

Saturday 6 September to Sunday 7 September

Traders come over from Northern France, bringing products such as:

  • fresh bread, cakes and home made biscuits
  • cheese
  • jams and honey
  • chocolates
  • charcuterie and delicatessen products
  • garlic, onions, shallots, olives, spices and mustards
  • confectionary, roasted nuts and dried fruit
  • pancakes and merguez sandwiches
  • earthenware cooking dishes
  • classic enamel house numbers and signs
  • wickerwork, wooden flowers and provencale tablecloths
  • fancy leather goods, including handbags and travel bags
  • sheepskin products and cashmere jumpers
  • soaps, perfumed items, incense and artisanal candles
  • ceramic dolls and clowns
