Woking - the accessible town

The modern town centre is ideal for disabled visitors. Under-cover shopping malls and extra facilities for people with mobility problems, make Woking a popular destination.

The Town Centre Buggy, run by Woking Community Transport, offers free transport, Monday to Friday, for anyone who has difficulties getting around the pedestrianised area of the town centre. The buggy calls at a number of popular spots around the town centre and is quite flexible, although it cannot operate inside the shopping centres.

For further information, please see the Community Transport pages.

Woking Shopmobility offers power scooters, manual and powered wheelchairs for hire, which can also be booked in advance. A companion service is available if you are unable to use a powered wheelchair or scooter, or require extra assistance. Theatre-goers can book wheelchairs for shows at The Ambassadors Theatre next door, and Shopmobility has a car park for the sole use of its customers.
