Sustainable construction

In order to inform the Core Strategy first submission, a study was commissioned by the Council to model the practical implications of achieving a range of different levels of energy efficient design and renewable energy generation on-site (‘microgeneration’), alongside the implications for capital build cost.  Modeling was carried out against 5 development types. As part of this modeling, it was also possible to identify the carbon dioxide emissions savings that would result from differing levels of energy efficient design and microgeneration for each type of development.
