Surrey Half Marathon: Sunday 9 March

The inaugural Surrey Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 9 March 2014.
Over 5,000 runners will take on the 13.1 mile route that will start and finish in Guildford. The route will pass through Burpham, Jacobs Well and Sutton Green to Woking Town Centre and back. Please click here to view the full route.
The community-focussed event is supported by more than 240 volunteers from local running groups, Scouts and the Rotary.
Join the fun
The starting gun will fire at 10am, with runners led by cyclists from local group, WindyMilla. Four bands will be entertaining spectators along the Woking part of the route. You can show your support for the runners and enjoy live music at:
David Lloyd Leisure Centre, Kingfield
Victoria Arch, Woking
Moorcroft Centre for the Community, Westfield
Westfield Cricket Club, Westfield.
Performances will begin at 10am and continue until the last runners have passed.
Road closures will be in place on race day. All roads will close at 8am and it is anticipated that roads will reopen around 12noon in the Woking area. Diversion signs will be in place along the route.
