Surrey County Council is working with BBC Surrey to broadcast a live debate about cycling in Surrey on Wednesday 23 October from 7pm at Surrey University.
The debate will be aired in front of a live audience, covering cycling safety, cycle lanes, training and major sporting events. The panel will be made up of a number of representatives from organisations, including Surrey Police, Sustrans, British Cycling and the County's parish councils. The audience will be able to ask questions and listeners can also phone in or tweet in to get involved.
The debate is part of a wider consultation with residents to help shape the council's Cycling Strategy, which is aimed to encourage more people to cycle, more safely. The consultation deadline is 1 November.
To find out more about the event and to take part in the consultation survey, visit www.surreycc.gov.uk/cyclingstrategy. Copies of the strategy and the survey are also available from Surrey libraries or call 03456 009 009 to request a copy.
