Residents and visitors to Woking Park are being asked about their car parking behaviours to allow Woking Borough Council to carry out a comprehensive review of its parking arrangements at the park.
Currently, there are 352 car parking spaces in Woking Park benefiting leisure and recreation users, community groups, commuters and members of the general public. With planning consent already granted for an additional car park with 261 spaces at the rear of the Leisure Centre in Woking Park, it is proposed to change the current car parking arrangements by introducing similar arrangements to those experienced in Woking Town Centre.
Cllr John Kingsbury, Leader of Woking Borough Council, said: "We understand that with so many varied users of the car park, it can, at times, be difficult to find a suitable parking space. With planning permission granted for the new car park, it is an appropriate time for the Council to review its current parking arrangements, while acknowledging that changes need to be made to ensure, where feasible, that future arrangements are as fair as possible to all users. I would therefore encourage all users of Woking Park to tell us about their parking behaviours by completing this consultation."
All responses to the consultation must be received by the Council by 5pm, Friday 13 September 2013.
This consultation is now closed.
