Works to remove trees along Commercial Way will commence next week (w/c Monday 25 February 2013).
The tree removal is part of preparation works for the redevelopment of Commercial Way public realm, which will see the area between Alexander House and Provincial House be completely renovated and revived, with new high quality granite paving, street furniture, lighting, cycle hoops and weyfinders.
Replacement species of Sweetgum and Elm trees will also be planted along Commercial Way to form an attractive tree-lined boulevard.
The tree removal works are being carried out by the Council's environmental services partner, Serco, on behalf of Woking Borough Council and Surrey County Council, as the highways authority in control of Commercial Way.
Woking Borough Council and Surrey County Council would like to thank businesses and shoppers in Woking for their patience whilst these works are carried out.
For further information about the tree work, please contact Woking Borough Council on 01483 755855 or email customer@woking.gov.uk
