In response to recent posts on Twitter regarding a development south of Moor Lane, Woking Borough Council would like to make the following clarification statement.
Jeni Jackson, Woking Borough Council's Head of Planning Services, said: "The planning application relating to the development of land north of Moor Lane (PLAN/2013/0081) was validated on Wednesday 6 February 2013 and neighbour consultation letters were sent out dated Friday 8 February 2013, giving until Friday 1 March 2013, or 21 calendar days, to respond.
"As you would expect, the size of the application and volume of supporting documents has meant it has taken longer than expected to upload to the public Planning Portal.
"Although the online comments facility closes on Friday 1 March 2013, the Council, as the Local Planning Authority, will take into account any comments received before the application is reported to the Planning Committee.
"We anticipate core documents will be available to view on the Council website, www.woking.gov.uk, by the end of today (Wednesday 13 February 2013). Paper copies of the application are available at the Council's Civic Offices."
