Free Green Deal assessments for your property!

Action Surrey has recently been awarded funding by the Government to kick-start a free home energy assessment scheme within Surrey.

Known as the Green Deal scheme, residents can access free whole house energy assessments worth £150 to find out what improvements their property could benefit from and how these can be financed at no upfront cost.

The first 2,000 assessments will be free and is open to all homeowners and privately rented households until 15 March 2013.

This assessment is especially useful for those living in solid wall houses, prevalent in Victorian houses.

Under the Green Deal scheme, homeowners may be able to claim over £1,000 cashback towards improving the energy efficiency of their home. The more work households decide to have done, the more cash they could receive.
