Due to the popularity of the scheme, Surrey County Council has extended the deadline for residents to sign-up to its Switch and Save scheme and save up to £200 on your electricity and gas bills in 2013!

Surrey County Council's `collective switching' scheme is a hassle free way to get the best energy deal. It works by getting a group of people to buy the energy together...at a cheaper rate.

How do I get a good deal?

  • The more people sign up, the greater our purchasing power.
  • Energy suppliers compete to make the best offer in an auction.
  • They determine their bid based on the number of participants.
  • The supplier with the best tariffs wins the auction.

How can I register?

  • From now until 8 April 2013, log on to www.surreyswitchandsave.org to complete the online form or call 0800 048 8264 to register over the phone.

  • You will need your energy bill details so an offer can be made to suit your needs.

  • Following the auction, you'll receive your offer by email or by post, which is calculated based on your usage. We'll tell you exactly how much you could save and you decide whether to make the switch.

Full details of terms and conditions are available at www.surreyswitchandsave.org
