Despite the continued heavy snowfall this morning, Woking Borough Council and other local service providers are working hard to maintain key services for residents.
Surrey County Council continues to grit all A roads in the area.
Refuse collections have been suspended for today. Any resident, from whom a collection cannot be made for safety reasons, during week commencing Monday 11 January, is requested to store their refuse until week commencing Monday 18 January, when it will be collected on their usual collection day. Town Centre car parks in Woking are open as usual, with the exception of roof levels.
Community Transport, Dial-a-Ride and the Town Centre Buggy services are suspended.
Deliveries of meals on wheels to elderly and vulnerable people are continuing, but with delays.
Street cleaning and ground maintenance has been suspended and staff redeployed to clear snow from Woking Town Centre and other critical venues.
All public toilets are closed, with the exception of the shopping centres.
Woking Citizens' Advice Bureau is operating a limited service, but is likely to close early.
Woking Library is open as usual, although will close at 4pm.
H.G. Wells Conference and Events Centre is open for business as usual.
Tonight's Food Waste Roadshow at Woking Leisure Centre has been cancelled.
All Council buildings are open for business, but will close earlier than usual.

Advanced warning for the weekend of 16 and 17 January
All sports pitches will be closed for the safety of users and ground protection. No matches will be played.
The Council would advise residents to take the following steps.
Please take extreme care when going out, particularly on pavements and side roads.
If you do need to travel, please take precautions and be prepared.
Check that elderly neighbours or people who may require assistance are OK.
Make sure animals and/or children do not walk on frozen ponds or the Canal
Only call 999 in a real emergency.
Tune in to their local radio and television news programmes to stay abreast of the latest situation with regards the heavy snowfall.
