Grants and funding

**NEW** Extending Activities Funding - the 5 hour offer

Extending Activities is part of the new 5 HOUR OFFER for young people in England.  Nationally, £36m of new Government funding for young people's sport has been ring fenced for this programme.  Surrey has been allocated £98,700 to engage 2,592 semi sporty young people by March 2009.  The next round of funding is now available which will invite applications for projects starting in the Spring Term (January - March 2009).  These applications will have a deadline of 17 October 2008.  The forms are downloadable from the Active Surrey website

Woking had 9 projects approved during the last round of funding and we are hoping to add to these schemes during the next round which offers funding for projects running January – March 2009.  If your club would like to apply for funding or discuss the prospect of applying for funding please contact Jill Dixon on 01483 743 804 or jill.dixon@woking.gov.uk who will meet with you and help with the application process and show examples of previous projects.

There are two small grant schemes available to residents and organisations based in Woking which are outlined below.  This page also contains details of external funding and links to a funding database to make your search for the most relevant funds that much easier.
