How much
Up to £750
What they Fund
Barclays Space for Sport is a partnership between Barclays, The Football Foundation and Groundwork. Over 100 sustainable sports sites will be created across the UK every year during the three year £30m programme. The facilities provided will depend on the needs of each local community, ranging from basketball courts to BMX tracks and football pitches.
But it's not just about creating new facilities. We will continue our help to the young teams in most need of our support across the country by providing them with a Barclays Spaces for Sports coaching kit worth £750. This kit has everything a team needs for coaching, from t-shirts and fleeces to cones and whistles.
This national grant programme will fund voluntary organisations to do work of national significance that supports the outcome of the Every Child Matters: Change for Children Programme. The grant programme was created to help the DfES make its funding to voluntary organisations more strategic and to make it easier for organisations to apply for funding for work that improves outcomes for children, young people and their families. It aims to contribute to increasing stability in the voluntary and community sector by offering longer term funding. The programme is open the charities or non-profit-making organisations set up and run on similar lines to a charity.
