Beware of the wave chambers by the deep end wall. When the waves are in operation, swimmers are not permitted within one metre of the deep end wall.
A clock on the pool side indicates the timing of the next wave cycle. A siren will sound prior to the start of each wave cycle and the lifeguard will make an announcement.
Non and weak swimmers must move to the beach areas and be under physical supervision to prevent being overcome by the waves.
The waves operate every 30 minutes in off-peak times and 20 minutes in peak times.
(water depth 1.1 metres)
The Lazy River is the water course flowing under the red Chinese bridge. This has a gentle current running in a clockwise direction. All swimmers should swim in the same clockwise direction and weak child swimmers must remain in physical contact with their parent/guardian.
When the waves are in action, this area is transformed into the Rapids Ride.
During the Rapids Ride the safety restrictions remain the same as those for the Wave Pool and Lazy River, but even strong swimmers should take care of hitting their head on the bridge or losing their footing.
These are activated at the same time as the wave machine and shoot out across the pool. Listen to the lifeguard's announcement, as the cannons may alarm young children.
