Four adult lessons for £5

Woking Borough Council in conjunction with the Everyday Swim project is inviting adults who are beginners or non-swimmers to enjoy a package of four swimming lessons for just £5.

The lessons will be 45 minutes long, once a week for four weeks. Our qualified teachers will help you improve water confidence and even get you taking your first proper strokes. All our lessons will take place in our teaching pool or shallow part of the lagoon pool at Woking's Pool in the Park. We will also have some lessons taking place at our pools elsewhere in the community (details to be confirmed). There will be a variety of times and days available.

Terms and conditions

1. The £5 offer applies to Woking Borough residents only. This can be proven by a utility bill or Council Tax bill. Customers from outside the Borough can benefit from the promotion but must pay £10 per package. Borough residents will also take priority.

2. It is likely that there will be a high demand for this service so a waiting list will be created.

3. Please complete the online application form. Alternatively, you can contact the Pool in the Park on 01483 771122. Please bear in mind that our phone lines will be busy during this promotion.

4. Please inform the reception team member of you swimming ability. It will help us to put you in the right level class if you can put yourself in one of the following categories:

• absolute beginner
• relatively confident but beginner
• not water confident but not beginner
• need to improve technique.

5. Priority will be given to Woking residents in the top two groups in the list above.

6. Please note that payment will be taken at time of booking.

7. Only one package of promotion lessons per person.

8. Participants must be over 16 years.

9. All participants must complete an application form either online, in person, or over the telephone.

10. By entering into this promotion Woking Borough Council and the Everyday Swim project may contact you for publicity purposes. We will not pass your details onto any third party. If you do not wish to be contacted with other services offered by Woking Borough Council, please indicate on your application form.

11. All participants will be invited to complete a questionnaire after the course and then following a period of two months.

12.  The four adult lessons for £5 is a stand alone promotion and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or against the cost of our normal adult swimming lesson programme.

13.  All lessons will begin in June 2008.  Following the first course of lessons, all customers on the waiting list will be contacted with regard to the next available course.
