Advance Bookings

Casual advance bookings for pitch and court sports may be made up to 7 days in advance from 8am either in person or by telephone.

All casual advance bookings must be paid for at the time of booking whether booking in person or by telephone. (This includes badminton, squash, fitness classes, main hall and all weather pitch bookings, block bookings and contract bookings are not affected).

Advance bookings without payment will only be accepted on the day of your chosen activity e.g. making a 9am booking for a 2pm badminton court.

Alternatively customers may purchase a Key Card.
A Key Card allows you to book in advance (up to 7 days) and pay at any time prior to your activity taking place.

Key Cards

Key cards are available in two forms

  • Pay as you go casual activities
  • Pay in advance membership packages (annual or monthly memberships)

Pay as you go Key Cards cost £3.20 per year per person and are available from Leisure Centre or Pool reception. Customers holding these cards may book in advance and pay at any time prior to the activity taking place and will also receive newsletters, special promotional offers and discounts from partners in Surrey (including retail outlets, caterers and leisure venues).

There are three Pay As You Go Casual Key Cards:

  • Standard Key Card - for booking in advance
  • Status Key Card - for booking in advance and discount on activities
  • Concession Key Card - for booking in advance and discount on activities

Pay in advance membership packages offer booking in advance plus savings on activity fees especially if you are a regular customer.

How to get a Key Card?

Simply pick up an application form from Pool in the Park or Woking Leisure Centre.  Complete the form and return it to the pool or leisure centre with the £3.20 fee. You do NOT need a passport photograph, your picture will be taken at pool or leisure centre reception and added to your card information. Your card must be swiped by a receptionist for each "in person" transaction and your membership number given every time you make a telephone or e- booking, otherwise you will be asked to make payment with your booking.

Changing bookings

All bookings confirmed by payment are not refundable (other than at the manager's discretion). However if more than 48 hours notice is given we will endeavour to move your booking to an alternative date up to seven days in advance, but in the event this is not possible the court is non-refundable.

Arrears

If you have booked in advance and cannot turn up for your activity please let us know at least 48 hours in advance so that we can re-let the space. Failure to notify us will result in arrears comprising the full standard adult charge and an administration charge of £1.50 being set against your card. You will be notified by letter of the arrears which must be resolved prior to any further bookings being made and may lead to cancellation of booking rights.

Other Booking Information

Per head courts

When booking courts at Woking Leisure Centre (for players eligible for different price bands or concessions), the court fee is based on an Individual per head basis ensuring that each customer is charged at the appropriate rate for the individual.

Multiple bookings

To ensure that everyone has equal opportunity to use facilities (particularly during peak periods) we ask that customers must be taking part in the booked activity and are not allowed to book adjacent courts for the same time period or more than two consecutive courts. Customers wishing to make multiple or group bookings are advised to ask about our block booking system.
