MEND Programme

The MEND programme (Mind, Exercise, NutritionDo it!) is a free fun course dedicated to helping reduce childhood overweight and obesity levels.

The MEND Programme is aimed at families with children aged 7 to 13 years whose weight is above the healthy range for their age and height. Programmes are free to attend and comprise of two sessions a week for ten weeks. At the after-school MEND Programme, children and their parents learn about healthy eating together. The kids then play fun active games while the parents learn how to set healthy goals and rewards and swap ideas and tips with other parents.

A parent is required to attend each session with their child. Woking Borough Council will be running another MEND programme in January 2012.

Woking's programme will be running at Parkview Centre for the Community, Sheerwater. You can get more details or register your interest by calling 01483 743424.
