Woking display boards

For non-profit making groups or societies wishing to advertise an event which is taking place within the Borough of Woking, a rota for 14 borough display boards and 4 drive-by boards is operated by the Community Development team and is currently provided free of charge.

Depending on availability, posters can be displayed for a maximum of three weeks, including the week of the event and two weeks prior to the event.

It is advisable to book board space in advance, as demand is high.

Borough Display Boards

The 14 borough display boards, site locations listed below, each have the capacity to hold four A2 sized posters. Posters must be A2 size, professionally produced and all 14 boards must be hired at any one time. In addition, five of these 14 boards are double sided so the second side of these boards can also be hired in the same way.

Locations of single sided boards are as follows:

1. Goldsworth Park - Waitrose, Denton Way
2. Knaphill - The Broadway
3. Kingfield - Kingfield School (opposite Sainsburys), Kingfield Road
4. Pyrford Village Hall - Coldharbour Road
5. Sheerwater - Dartmouth Avenue
6. Woking Bandstand - Town centre
7. Woking - Victoria Way
8. Horsell - Queen Elizabeth Gardens
9. Woking Town Square

Locations of double sided boards are as follows:

1. Brookwood - Sainsburys Car Park, Redding Way
2. Brookwood - Connaught Road
3. St Johns Lye - St. Johns
4. Byfleet Village Green
5. West Byfleet - Station Road

Drive-By Boards

Drive-by posters must be 1m by 1.5m in size. Each of the four drive-by boards are double sided, holding one poster on each side. Posters can therefore be displayed either inbound or outbound. Site locations are listed below:

Community Notice boards

There are numerous community notice boards in the borough, on which members of the public are free to pin flyers advertising local events. Flyers should be approximately A5 size, as space on the boards is limited, and should ideally be laminated or protected in a plastic wallet to protect from bad weather. There is no booking system for these boards. Location details are listed below:
