Confirmation of eligibility to work in the UK

You may be aware that under the provisions of Section 8 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, employers must ensure that prospective employees are eligible to work in the UK. Consequently, as a condition of employment, you are asked to provide documentary evidence that you are eligible to work in the UK, such as Passport, or National Insurance Card and Birth Certificate. This must be provided before you start work.
