The Council has developed "Being Equal - A Valuing Diversity Policy" which describes how the Council intends to deliver on this important priority. A Race Equality scheme was also developed at the same time to make racial equality an integral part of the way that we work.

The Council is now working hard to ensure that equality and diversity are at the heart of our business and is keen to reflect the differences within the community in its workforce.
