In this section you can find out more about how the Council is seeking to involve you in tackling issues and finding solutions to improve your neighbourhood.
Housing Services work closely with neighbourhood and community safety
services as well as the police to tackle anti-social behaviour, sharing information through agreed protocols and confidential meetings which include other agencies.
Housing Services has signed up to the Government's Respect Standard in Housing Management, which is part of the Respect Agenda for Sustainable Communities. Housing Services works closely with a tenant and leaseholder panel exploring how we, as a landlord, may deal with anti-social behaviour.
Housing Services Management Areas have been aligned to the nine borough neighbourhood areas identified by residents themselves.
This helps streamline working with police and environmental services neighbourhood officers. Officers also attend the Tune In meetings organised jointly by the Council, Surrey police, Surrey County Council, Surrey Fire and Rescue and Surrey Primary Care Trust. Issues are explored with residents and joint solutions sought. Activities are posted on the Window on Woking website.
