Home Trust Loan scheme

The Home Trust Loan is designed to help home owners who cannot afford to pay for essential repairs, adaptations or improvements to their property, for example roof repairs, replacement windows, re-wiring or heating work.

It is a secured loan provided by a not-for-profit organisation called South Coast Moneyline, in partnership with Woking Borough Council and four other local authorities in Surrey and Hampshire.

Benefits of the scheme include:

• low cost and designed to suit your budget;
• a low, fixed rate of interest, guaranteed for the full term of the loan;
• the support of a dedicated Home Trust Loan officer who is able to visit you in your own home;
• help and advice from your local authority on choosing a reputable contractor;
• a final inspection can be arranged once the work is finished, to ensure that you are satisfied;
• no penalty for overpayments or early settlement of the loan.
