Fairer charging grant (Supporting People)

What care does the Supporting People Grant cover?

This grant has been available since 7th April 2003 to assist with your support needs, such as the support service provided by the Home Support team and the community alarm system. If you are eligible to receive Housing Benefit you will automatically qualify for Supporting People Grant. This grant is paid direct to Woking Borough Council if you are a Council tenant, to cover your support charges. If you are not eligible to receive Housing Benefit you may quality for assistance under the Fairer Charging policy.

What care does it not cover?

Supporting People Grant does not cover personal care services, such as:

• washing

• bathing

• administering medication
