Fairer charging assessment

What is the fairer charging assessment?

This is a new form of financial assistance available to all Woking residents who do not qualify for Supporting People Grant on the grounds of not being eligible for Housing Benefit.

If you have savings and / or capital ranging between £16,000 and £24,500 in total, you can still make an application for a Fairer Charging Assessment.

Any award paid from Surrey County Council under the Fairer Charging Assessment is paid direct to Woking Borough Council, if you are a Council tenant. You must pay any remaining difference between the Fairer Charging amount allowed and your support costs.
