North West Surrey Extra Care Housing Strategy

Introduction
Extra Care Housing refers to a range of specialist housing models and is based on a customer focused approach. This includes providing secure self contained accommodation and promoting independent living. In keeping with Woking's overall Housing Strategy (2004-2010), an Extra Care Housing Strategy has now been approved.
Woking Borough Council and Surrey Heath Borough Council have worked together to developed the Strategy. This reflects the area covered by the Surrey Heath and Woking Primary Care Trust.
The Strategy should be of interest to a range of people including those working with:
- older people
- people with physical or learning disabilities.
