Conditions of hire of Lakeview Hall

1. Statement of intent

1.1 Woking Borough Council wishes to encourage the use of Lakeview Hall (Tracious Close) and aims to see the Centre used as a facility for a wide variety of groups within the Borough.

1.2 The use of the Centre will be carefully monitored to ensure it does not cause nuisance to neighbouring homes or facilities in their nearby areas.

2. Detail

2.1 The Centre is available for hire by any local organisation whose objectives are of a charitable, educational or similar nature and to community associations or similar organisations or individuals for private, non-profit making purposes.

2.2 The conditions of hire allow music, dancing or plays providing admission is by invitation.

2.3 A scale of charges has been established for the Centre which identifies variable rates depending on tenure, or organisation. Community organisations seeking reduced, or nil charge, must apply for a Community Let Grant to attain this.

2.4 All charges are reviewed annually.

3.1 Procedures and terms and conditions of hire of Lakeview Hall will be updated and amended periodically to reflect current standing orders, financial regulations, legal and good practice.
