Special collections

Woking Borough Council offers a special collection service for individual residents of the Borough. Most bulky household items can be taken, however the service does not cater for anything classified as building material such as kitchen units, baths or garden sheds.

Standard charges for this service start with one item costing £26. Each additional item is £8.50. A maximum of seven items can be collected at any one time.

Residents over the age of 60 (your National Insurance number will be required as proof of eligibility) and anyone eligible for Disability Living Allowance are entitled to the service at a reduced rate. Reduced charges for this service start with one item costing £13. Each additional item is £4.50.

It is possible to arrange for an appointment, with the exception of both Wednesday and Thursday, for either am or pm. This costs an additional £22.00.

Customers can pay for this service over the telephone using a debit, credit or switch card or alternatively using cash or cheque but this can only be made in person at the Civic Offices.

Please note: All items must be presented together in the open air at ground level and easily accessible once your booking has been made.

Members of the public can dispose of unwanted items at one of the local Civic Amenity Sites, either Martyrs Lane or Slyfield Industrial Estate.
