Household waste and recycling collection

In line with its Climate Change Strategy,  Woking Borough Council operates an alternate weekly waste collection service across the entire Borough, where general household waste is collected one week and recyclable materials the next.

How your collection service works

Two wheeled bins are issued to each household - a black wheeled bin for general waste and a blue-lidded wheeled bin for waste that can be recycled. A limited number of households that cannot store wheeled bins are provided with black sacks for general household waste and blue sacks for recyclables.

Full details about what can and can't go in your bins, plus a list of frequently asked questions are available on this site.
