Grounds maintenance and vegetation

Ground maintenance and vegetation on highway land or land owned by Woking Borough Council is carried out by Serco. This covers a wide variety of tasks which includes the planting of bedding plants, maintaining shrubs and hedges, the upkeep of roundabouts, common areas, grass cutting, recreation areas and sports pitches. Overgrown vegetation on the public highway from private property is dealt with by Surrey County Council.

Overgrown vegetation from railway areas is dealt with by Network Rail.

Grounds maintenance of Wokings tenant and leaseholders sites, including the removal of litter, maintenance of communal grounds and the sweeping of communal areas such as drying areas is also carried out by Serco.
