Street cleaning

The Council's Environmental partners, Serco, carry out street cleaning in Woking. This involves the mechanical sweeping of adopted highways, including pavements. Town and village centres are swept and litter picked most regularly, to ensure they are kept to a high standard. Once fully cleaned an area should be litter free.

Public highways and Council-owned land should be kept clear of litter in accordance with the National Code of Practice.

To view the cleansing activity for a road, please use the Your local services search. If you consider a street to be in need of cleaning, or have identified an area in need of litter removal, you should report this to Serco. You can do this online, or alternatively please call Serco on 01483 775422.
