The Lightbox will host a fun-packed Keen to be Green Now Fair in partnership with Woking LA21, Charted Institute Of Building (CIOB) and Woking Borough Council on World Environment Day (WED), Saturday 5th June.
The specially organized event will be packed full of information and advice, childrens activities, games, lectures and goodies to buy that raise awareness about what each and every one of us can do to become greener and reduce our carbon footprint.
From informative talks to face-painting, slow bike races,cool, eco-chic gadgets and accessoriesand free drop-in workshops, there will be something for everyone who cares for their local environment.
- Green Guided tours of The Lightbox 11.00am and 3.00pm
- FREE Face Painting from 11.00am-4.00pm
- Palette BBQ from 12.30pm
- Almac Brass Band playing in the Courtyard 1.00pm - 3.00pm
- FREE Drop in Workshops
- Slow Bike Race in the Courtyard at 4.00pm
The following groups will be on hand throughout the building all day to answer your questions on environmental issues and give you some handy tips on becoming proactively green: CIOB, WBC, Cycle Woking, LA21, WeCar initiative, Gotta Go Greena Ltd, Rayotec, Veolia / 3 Valleys, Woking Fairtrade Action Network, Surrey Wildlife Trust, Surrey Waste Management, Woking Freegle/Freecycle, Woking Community Furniture Project and Barrett Homes.
Theres plenty to do, so why not bring the whole family and get involved in the Keen to be Green Now Fair on Saturday 5th June - the event that everyones talking about!
