Energy efficiency

Responsible for energy and water efficiency/management for Council-owned buildings, the Home Energy Conservation Act. The Council manages Home Energy Saving Schemes for private homes offering free energy efficiency advice, a condensing boiler sceheme and grants for insulation measures for qualifying households.

Woking Borough Council gained the Queens Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development 2001 in respect for its Energy Services activities.
