The Borough is divided into 17 wards, which are divided into 32 polling districts.  Each polling district is designated a polling place, where polling stations for all elections are located.

European Parliamentary elections

Woking makes up part of the South East Region along with 66 other local authorities in the South East.

Polling Places

Under the Review of Polling District and Polling Places (Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2006, all local authorities are required to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places on a regular four-yearly cycle. 

A full review of polling districts and polling places was carried out in 2007.  Further information relating to this review is available.

In February 2009, the Council agreed to change the polling places for Mount Hermon East (JA) and Goldsworth East (MA) polling districts.  Temporary polling places for Hook Heath (CB) and Walton Road (GA) were also agreed for the elections on 4 June 2009.
