Focus groups

What are focus groups?

From time to time, Woking Borough Council invites members of the community to take part in focus groups or workshops which are aimed at finding out your views on a particular topic.

What can you expect if you are in a focus group?

Focus groups are usually made up of 8-10 people and will take place at a venue in Woking. A trained facilitator will encourage in-depth discussion on a topic and record the views of the group.

Access to venues

Events are run in accessible venues which are easy for people to get to using local public transport and/or that are close to parking facilities. If you are disabled or have any specific access needs please let us know in advance so that we can make any necessary arrangements for you.

Feedback?

During workshops we record the views you give to us and this is used to help the Council make decisions in the future. All recording is anonymous and we'll write to you after the event to let you know what the group has told us collectively.

Interested in taking part in a focus group?

See the local press for focus groups taking place. Also take a look on the Citizens' Panel page as members of the Panel can also choose to be included on a list for focus groups.
