Parkview

Parkview centre for the community was opened by the Mayor of Woking, Cllr Peter Ankers, on 24 January 2009.

Parkview is a light, bright, welcoming centre for the whole community. Facilities include:

• a large drop-in cafe area in which to relax and enjoy time with friends

• multi-use spaces for events and activities

• friendly reception area for meeting and greeting.

Future activities

Parkview will offer a varied programme of activities for all the whole community. Activities will focus on health and well-being, education and personal development. Activities include:

• Tai Chi

• fitness training

• dance classes including ballet, tap, jive, street dance and cheerleading

• nutrition and cookery classes.

More activities and classes will be announced over the coming months.

In addition to classes and activities, Parkview has a variety of different sized rooms and facilities for hire. Contact us for more information.

Parkview needs VIPs

Centres for the community play an important role within the local area, acting as a meeting place for groups, hosting activities and organising special events.

But to help run these activities, Parkview needs your help.

We're looking for very special people who are willing to become VIPs - Volunteers in Parkview. You may be keen to help people have a special skill, or simply want to volunteer in the cafe. We are looking for volunteers who can give an hour or two, annually, monthly, weekly or daily - whatever you can spare, we would like to hear from you!
