Helplines

Childline is a dedicated helpline for all children and young people to call for support at any time. Call 0800 11 11 to get through to a counsellor.

NHS Direct for all your health worries or needs. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a week call 0845 4647 for any query.

Muslim Youth support young people from a muslim background. Call 0808 808 2008.

Samaritans is available 24 hours a day and provides confidential emotional support on 08457 909090

Citizens Advice will provide practical help and assistance for a variety of problems that you may face. You can call into their shop in Woking town centre or call 0845 1202919.

 

Familyline Surrey  are able to offer emotional support to families.  They are a registered and established charity providing a freephone helpline to families in Surrey and surrounding areas who might be experiencing problems and need to talk them through with someone in confidence and without judgement.

Their freephone helpline number is 0808 800 5678 - we are open Mon - Friday - 10.00 to 7.00pm

Fire and Rescue Service cover all of Surrey. They offer fire safety advice and a free home fire safety check.

Connexions provide all sorts of help and advice relating to carrers, education and money for 13-19 year olds. Alternativley call 08080 013219

Think You Know website answers any worries you may have about cyber bullying or text bullying.

Eikon are a charity based in New Haw and work with many pupils and families in the area to support them through many difficulties at school.

Need 2 Know are a national website who offer a range of advice for students.

Counselling

YoYo Club is part of Woking Hospice who work with young people who have had family attend the hospice.

If you have lost a close relative contact Jigsaw 4 U who are national charity and specialise in helping young people put the pieces back together after a bereavement.

Steps Counselling are part of Surrey Care Trust. Steps Counselling offer a free service to all 16-25 year olds thoughout the county.

Crossroads is a local charity which promotes, offers, support and deliver high quality services for carers and people with care needs

Help from Woking Borough Council

Woking Borough Council can offer you help and advice on housing matters and benefits.

You have access to a number of different funding and grants through Woking Borough Council. If you need help with sports fees or training requirements or are off to undertake a voluntary project these grants could help.

Surrey County Council has dedicated young people pages that will give you information on getting around, advice and taking power in the county.
