Youth Council Grants

Have you got a project idea which would benefit your community that you want to get off the ground?

If the answer's yes, and you live in Woking Borough, are aged between 13 and 19 years old, or up to 25 if identified with special needs, the Dragons want to hear from you.

They have over £90,000 in Youth Opportunity and Youth Capital Fund grants (both provided by the Government) to give away to young people's groups.

Woking Youth Council would liek to support young people who have an idea to improve facilities in their local area or maybe help them set up a project that will benefit young people.

Application forms are available from Surrey County Council and must be completed by young people.

The youth council meet once a month to consider applications. Make sure you get your application in and get involved!

As well as the Youth Opportunity and Youth Capital Funds, Woking Youth Council administer the Small Grants Scheme on behalf of young people.

They want to help as many young people in Woking with activities, projects and clubs that are important to them all.

The small grants scheme is open to all young people and is for a maximum of £275.

Previous grants that have been accepted include dance tuition, oversee expeditions and help with equipment for clubs.
