Summer playschemes

Woking Borough Council delivers Ofsted registered Playschemes in every summer holiday at a range of venues across the Borough. They are an opportunity for children to make friends and take part in a variety of active and fun activities, whilst providing childcare for working parents between 8.30am and 5.30pm.

A major overhaul of the Playschemes took place in 2006 which led to a number of changes such as:

  • all sites moved to school venues for added security and better facilities
  • extended hours provision at all venues
  • new trips 
  • new equipment.

Overall, 80% of Playscheme users were satisfied with the service they recieved and 88% will continue to use our services in future (Consultation, 2008).  Consultation takes place on an annual basis and helps us to provide you and your children with an even better programme year by year.
