Woking Borough Council is responsible for issuing the following licences:

• Animal welfare licences
• Caravan site licence
• Food and game related licences
• Motor salvage operators registration
• Sex establishment licence
• Skin piercing business registration
• Taxi licences (private hire and hackney carriage)

Woking Borough Council also issues licences associated with the Licensing Act 2003 - the act to licence the supply of alcohol, regulated entertainment and late night refreshment.
