Woking Borough Council is responsible for issuing the following licences:

• Motor salvage operators registration.

• Skin piercing business registration.
• Taxi licences (private hire and hackney carriage).

Woking Borough Council also issues licences associated with the Licensing Act 2003 - the act to licence the supply of alcohol, regulated entertainment and late night refreshment.
