Woking's comprehensive road, rail and air links make it an ideal location for companies requiring easy access to both UK and European markets.

Its proximity to London - just 25 minutes by train - also means that businesses can enjoy all the benefits that the capital can offer without any of the pitfalls, such as high business rates and traffic congestion that normally accompany a city location.
Woking is within 10 minutes' drive of the M25, M3 and A3 giving it excellent access by road to all major centres within the most densely populated corner of the UK and linking it into the national road network for access to the major UK cities.

The Borough's main railway station in central Woking, the busiest in Surrey, connects it directly with London Waterloo station, the international Eurostar terminal and all stations beyond by a regular express service which takes approximately 25 minutes.

Woking station also provides direct scheduled daily fast rail links with locations across the South and South West of the country including Exeter, Cardiff, Salisbury, Bristol, Winchester, Bournemouth and the international ferry ports of Portsmouth and Southampton. The three other stations within the Borough boundary - Worplesdon, Brookwood and West Byfleet - link the rest of the Borough with Woking town centre and with smaller, local commercial centres in the region. Why not check your route before you visit, with South West Trains..
Besides its rail connections, Woking also has a network of bus and coach services which link the town centre with the 14 village centres in the Borough and beyond.

Woking is located approximately mid-way between London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports which are both within easy drive-time of the Borough. Travellers into and out of the Borough who may prefer an alternative to driving themselves, can take advantage of the fast, reliable Railair coach link between Woking railway station and Heathrow leaving every half an hour throughout the day, as well as the train connections with Gatwick via Guildford.
To capitalise on its excellent transport links, and inspired by the Government's wish to promote an integrated transport network, Woking Borough Council is working in partnership with the transport induustry and local organisations to promote Woking's railway station as a rail hub for the 21st Century. The benefits of an improved and upgraded public transport system for the area, enhancement of current links with London's Airports, plus an improvement in traffic flows around the region will further add to the Borough's reputation as a well connected business centre.
