Woking's comprehensive road, rail and air links make it an ideal location for companies requiring easy access to both UK and European markets.

Its proximity to London - just 25 minutes by train - also means that businesses can enjoy all the benefits that the capital can offer without any of the pitfalls, such as high business rates and traffic congestion that normally accompany a city location.
Woking is within 10 minutes' drive of the M25, M3 and A3 giving it excellent access by road to all major centres within the most densely populated corner of the UK, and linking it to the national road network for access to the major UK cities.

The Borough's main railway station in central Woking, one of the busiest in Surrey, connects directly with London Waterloo. Its express service takes just 25 minutes and operates several times an hour.

Woking station also provides direct, daily rail links with locations across the south and south west of the country, including Exeter, Cardiff, Salisbury, Bristol, Winchester, Bournemouth and the international ferry ports of Portsmouth and Southampton. The three other stations within the Borough boundary - Worplesdon, Brookwood and West Byfleet - link the rest of the Borough with Woking Town Centre and with smaller commercial centres in the region. To check your route, visit the South West Trains website.
Besides its rail connections, Woking also has a network of bus and coach services which link the town centre with the 14 village centres in the Borough and beyond.

Woking is located approximately mid-way between London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports, which are both within easy drive-time. Travellers into and out of the Borough can also take advantage of the fast, reliable Railair coach link between Woking Railway Station and Heathrow Airport, leaving every half an hour throughout the day. There is also a train connection with Gatwick Airport (via Guildford).
To capitalise on its excellent transport links, and inspired by the Government's wish to promote an integrated transport network, Woking Borough Council is working in partnership with the transport induustry and local organisations to promote Woking's railway station as a rail hub for the 21st Century. The benefits of an improved and upgraded public transport system for the area, enhancement of current links with London's Airports, plus an improvement in traffic flows around the region will further add to the Borough's reputation as a well connected business centre.
