Woking - a great place for business people

Conferences and meeting facilities

Woking Borough is well placed to stage day conferences and meetings on many different scales.

  • The H.G. Wells Conference and Events Centre offers a choice of larger and smaller conference and meeting rooms ideal for both small seminars and major conferences holding up to 750 people in the main H.G. Wells Room.
  • Other venues in the Borough include the Holiday Inn, the Lightbox and the high quality corporate training centre managed by Initial Style Conferences at Gorse Hill.

After hours

After hours, there's plenty to do in Woking.

Woking is home to the Ambassadors complex - the 1,300 seater New Victoria Theatre, the intimate Rhoda McGaw Theatre and a six-screen cinema showing the very best in stage and screen.

Facilities at Woking Leisure Centre offer opportunities to enjoy activities such as badminton, squash, tennis, football, aerobics, martial arts and gym workouts. And there's even the chance to enjoy a Jacuzzi and a sauna after a hard day's work.

Swimming is available at the adjacent Pool in the Park which includes a competition pool and a leisure lagoon themed as an oriental water garden with flumes.

And after all that you can choose from a range of different restaurants serving food from around the world.
